Our Story.

We give you best price and many problems too!
- Uncle Chine CoolingThe ECP Genesis
It was 2007. It was time of great prosperity in the world of radiators. If you bought an aluminum radiator for your hot rod, it generally worked well. And solved your cooling problem, because most were made with 2-rows of 1 tubes.
But then a great plague arrived from China, landing on the shores of California. Things would never be the same…
Soon this new 3-row cancer started over taking E-Bay and all of the big-box part sellers: Amazon, Summit, Jegs, you name it. These 3-rows would lull hot rodders into a false since of security. And fleece their pockets dry on claims that simply don’t deliver.
And then...
As a professional cooling systems engineer who worked in the OEM automotive world, on the forefront of cool projects like the Dodge Viper and Prowler, I’ve seen many things. And this made me mad. Fuming mad. I couldn’t believe they were peddling this garbage – with outrageous, claims that didn’t deliver. They get away with it only because 90% of the people buying these are guys with low horsepower motors.
In fact, it made me so mad that in 2008 I started Engineered Cooling Products in response. Yes, you could have a budget radiator that worked really well. That’s what ECP is – a killer radiator for a guy that doesn’t live in a mansion and have his personal assistant ordering speed parts.
If you want the full technical knitty-gritty on why 2 rows are much better than 3-rows, you can read all about it our 2-row vs 3 row guide here. So who would dream up such a thing as a 3-row snail oil radiator? These guys.
How do we do it?
Simple: physics, science and the second law of thermodynamics.
- 2-rows of 1" tubes.
- Big, powerful fans. No wimpy lower powered fans that make outrageous CFM claims that simply don't deliver.
- High grade 10 gauge wiring
That's it. Slam, bam, thank-you mam.
Just one thing
At ECP, we do one thing: cooling systems.
Radiators, fans and everything else needed to make it work. I’ve been using my background in mechanical engineering and thermal dynamics to keep hot rods cool for over 25 years. And all of us here at ECP have your back and will make sure what we sell you gets the job done. We guarantee it.
